Let the good times roll!

Happy Mardi Gras and happy birthday to me! We'll celebrate Mardi Gras at school by eating king cake, listening to Dr. John and Professor Longhair and reading Gaston Goes to Mardi Gras!  We'll step out and have a good time!  As is tradition, I made "cheater" king cake - 2 in fact, one for Big Son and Wee Teen and one for my students.  This is the first in a long time that Mardi Gras and my birthday have been on the same day.  Sure makes me miss home.
